Farrington Gurney Parish Council is calling on local residents to consider stepping forward as parish councillors, helping to shape the future of the village.

Parish councillors are unpaid volunteers who play a vital role in representing community interests, supporting local services, and voicing concerns on planning, infrastructure, and public wellbeing. From maintaining footpaths to liaising with Bath & North East Somerset Council, their influence can make a real difference to daily life in the village.

Councillors meet monthly at the Methodist Church to discuss village priorities, review planning applications, and manage the local budget. They also respond to issues raised by residents and contribute to long-term plans for sustainability and growth.

With local democracy at the heart of rural life, Farrington Gurney Parish Council encourages anyone with a passion for the village to get involved.

For more information, please attend a meeting, reach out to a council member or contact the Clerk directly.
