Dana Koellner

Dana believes creativity has the power to bring people together and inspire fresh ideas. With over 20 years of experience working internationally in theatre, film, TV, and higher education, she and her partner Ben made the village their forever home in 2023. These days, she’s running and consulting on creative and educational projects.

Dana is dedicated to helping people connect, grow, and imagine better futures—for themselves and their communities. Both her academic research and professional work explore how creativity can shape positive social change through listening, empathy, collaboration, and inclusion, and help find alternative ways of agreement amongst diverse groups. Whether directing performances, leading workshops, or contributing to council discussions, she focuses on bringing people into the conversation and turning ideas into practical action for change. As a Parish Councillor, Dana is excited to support local voices, promote social cohesion, and assist in problem-solving to help Farrington Gurney thrive as a vibrant, connected community.
