Farrington Gurney is an English civil parish within the unitary authority of Bath and North East Somerset

Farrington Gurney is a small rural village located at the foot of the Mendip Hills within the North East of Somerset. In the Domesday book, the village was known as Ferentone. The second part of the name is believed to come from the Gournays, its ancient possessors, including Robert de Gournay in 1225. When Sir Thomas de Gournay was implicated in the murder of Edward II at Berkeley Castle, his estates were confiscated; Farrington was later annexed to the Duchy of Cornwall. The parish was part of the hundred of Chewton.
