Somer Valley Enterprise Zone – LDO expansion
Bath & North East Somerset Council have submitted an amendment to the Land Development Order proposed for the Enterprise Zone at Old Mills to expand the amount of land required to carry out the work. We ask all residents to view the application and submit a comment if required.

Your parish council has discussed the amended LDO, provided comments, and is requesting further information. The position of the Parish Council regarding SVEZ remains unchanged; however, we are requesting updated information regarding the parallel project ‘Somer Valley Links’ (SVL). The SVL program is a government-funded project attempting to improve transport links within the Somer Valley area. The key features of this project within Farrington Gurney are the travel hub on the A37 and the cycle path linking our village to the SVEZ site and beyond. The updated LDO requests, in conjunction with other changes, are to extend the parcel of land adjacent to Sunnyside to incorporate the mixed-use path. Please review the application.
